“Suits” actor Patrick J. Adams recently revealed that he has deleted Instagram posts that featured photos of him with co-star Meghan Markle, his Esquire interview revealed. Markle is currently dating Prince Harry and has been the subject of the media ever since the duo was spotted together. Adams, on the other hand, plays the love interest of Markle’s character in the series.
“I live in a world where you can’t post things about Meghan,” Adams told Esquire. Prince Harry and Markle went public with their relationship back in 2016, followed by frequent moments of being spotted together during events.
Adams added that he also deleted all his social media accounts and not just his Instagram. The actor said that there were previous photos of Markle kissing his cheek. The day after posting the image, he removed the photo.
Official Kensington Palace statement
Markle, despite having her residence in Toronto, Canada, has been heavily scrutinized and followed by British media. Prince Harry and Kensington Palace have released an official statement reminding the media not to follow and cover her so excessively, The Hollywood Reporter said.
This surfaced after claims that the “Suits” actress has been harassed because of the increased media attention after the couple went public with relationship. She added that both of them “are really happy and in love.”
Markle has reportedly met with Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Harry’s grandmother, during their visit in Scotland, according to US Weekly. She has also met with her boyfriend’s royal kin such as his father Prince Charles and sister-in-law Kate Middleton.
Rumors claim that a royal engagement between her and Prince Harry is soon approaching, according to US Weekly. Preparations are reportedly already being made by some palace aides. Palace protocol suggests that the male heir to the throne should formally ask the Queen permission if he plans to propose to his girlfriend, just like Prince William did when he proposed to his now-wife Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton.
Royal title
And just like how Kate Middleton got her royal title as the Duchess of Cambridge, the actress will also have her own royal title if she marries Prince Harry. "Royal expert" Imogen Lloyd Webber told Pop Sugar that the actress will probably have the title as Her Royal Highness Princess of Wales.
This follows Harry’s title as His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales. If the prince's grandmother Queen Elizabeth II changes this to Duke of Sussex, then it will follow that Markle will have her title as The Duchess of Sussex, Pop Sugar added.
Only time will tell what's in store next for the couple.
