The latest updates and spoilers for "Stranger Things" Season 2 will introduce Max and Keith in the show and more details about Will Byers' predicament in the plot.

Meet Max and Keith

The second season of "Stranger Things" will introduce new two new characters for the show: Max and Keith. Max is a 15-year old "tomboyish" girl who goes to the same classroom as Mike Wheeler, Lucas Sinclair, Dustin Henderson and Will Byers in Hawkins middle-school. Keith is an employee of a local arcade store called "The Palace" which was featured in the season 2 trailer during San Diego Comic-Con 2017.

Series creators Matt and Ross Duffer gave Entertainment Weekly an exclusive sneak peek of Episode 2's script that will introduce these two in the show. The script starts with the boys going to the Palace and they are about to play their favorite game, "Dig Dug." They are shocked to see that someone beat Dustin's high score and the player goes by the name "MADMAX." Keith knows who that person is and he is willing to give up the name to the boys in exchange for a date with Mike's older sister, Nancy Wheeler.

The showrunners described Keith as a person who is "less mature and more creepy." There are two things he loved the most: eating Cheetos and getting a date with Nancy. His obsession towards Nancy will push Mike to be more protective towards his sister.

As for Max, Sady Sink told EW that her character is a "big tomboy" and "really tough" towards others making it difficult for her to make friends at school. Her complicated history and chaotic relationship with her older stepbrother, Billy will be explored in the show.

Will's 'sinful' role

Ross Duffer teased a huge role for Will in "Stranger Things" season 2 as he told US Weekly that audiences will get to see a more "sinful" side of the character and the changes he is facing after his exposure to the "Upside Down" world.

"Will Byers, who was sort of trapped in the Upside Down for most of Season 1, now has a much more sinful role, which we're really excited about," Duffer said.

Several fans have theorized that Will's time in the other world will change him and possibly become evil in the process. Season 2 also teased that creatures from that world will invade Hawkins.

Eleven will return to the show as she searches for a way out from the other world.

Executive producer Shawn Levy confirmed that they will continue to work on the show beyond the third season and wants to see the cast grow older with each season similar to "Game of Thrones."

"Stranger Things" season 2 will premiere on Oct. 27 on Netflix.
