Rick and MortySeason 3 is receiving a lot of ratings and great reviews this season. Episode 7, “The Ricklantis Mixup,” acquired more than 2 million viewers in the United States – news that gives director Dominic Polcino a reason to celebrate. Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon are surely delighted by it.

The show unveiled the new season with “The Rickshank Rickdemption” on April fools. It did not do so well on the television broadcast, receiving less than a million viewers. However, “Rick and Morty” Season 3, episode 2, which is also directed by Dominic Polcino made a big comeback in July with a total of 2.86 million viewers.

Many fans of the hit TV show from Adult Swim have been longing to see more of the series.

‘The Ricklantis Mixup’ gets interesting feedback from the viewers

“The Ricklantis Mixup” (The Tales from Citadel) also succeeded. This pleased a lot of viewers in its attempt to feature as many Rick and Morty doppelgangers as possible. The episode depicts how the series would be if Morty was more than just Rick’s sidekick.

With a little angst and confidence, Morty could dominate Rick. The episode had at least two plots for different pairs of Rick and Morty. One pair working as cops were trying to solve a robbery in Mortytown. The other Morty and 7 Ricks, were running for the presidency.

What happens to Rick and Morty in the new episodes?

It seems that Morty must have Rick to succeed in the Citadel. Without a Rick and a Morty together, they end up on the streets committing vandalism, robbery, and other hate crimes. The Wishing Portal was introduced. It is a place where anyone can throw their most valuable stuff – whether it is stupid or not – in return for a granted wish.

When Slick Morty dove into the portal, they discovered that the Wishing Portal was merely a dump site.

A set of Ricks was working at a factory as well (Simple Rick’s Wafer of Lies), where one Rick accidentally ended up murdering a co-Rick. Then the whole plot made a lot of sense when wishes were granted. Ricks and Morty were thrown into space, all hell broke loose at the council, and Evil Morty from Season 1 was back.

He was using a convincing cover that gave him the power to dominate the Citadel once and for all. But for now, it ended with the real Rick and Morty unaware of what is to come.

With Season 3’s episode 8 called, “Morty’s Mind Blowers” recently released, it is definitely going to be an equally hilarious and inventive story for the fans to see.

Meanwhile, episode 9 has been finally released and it is entitled, "The ABCs Of Beth." The episode focuses on the character of Beth. Perhaps, fans wanted to see her character shine in the new season of the Adult Swim series. In the episode, Beth will ask Rick to invent several things for her, which will make Rick create sociopathic items he has ever created.
