Friday afternoon. Few details regarding the incident have been disclosed at this point, but reports detail that another man was killed in the accident.

While the identity of the second victim was not immediately released, apparently one man died at the scene of the helicopter crash and another was extricated from the wreckage and taken to Virtua Marlton Hospital. That second crash victim died a short time later. The cause of the crash has not been revealed at this point.

Troy's family thanks fans and asks for privacy

The post notes that details related to the crash are unknown, and Troy's family asks for privacy as they acknowledge all of the prayers and kind thoughts they are receiving from supporters.

Montgomery Gentry fans are devastated by the news, with many noting that this will be a great loss to country music. As the group's supporters know, Troy partnered with Eddie Montgomery and the Kentucky duo started performing together under the Montgomery Gentry name nearly twenty years ago. They have collaborated with many country greats over the years and they were inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2009.

The incident reportedly happened in a wooded area at the end of a runway and the Federal Aviation Administration will be investigating the crash.

Initial reports indicate that the Flying W said they would not be commenting on the crash and it seems that an early Facebook page referencing the crash has been deleted, and they now simply indicate that they'll be closed the rest of the day, with the scheduled concert canceled.
