Lucifer Morningstar will finally come clean to his partner Detective Chloe Decker in “Lucifer” season 3. How will Chloe react when she sees his true form? Will she have the same reaction as Dr. Linda, who trembled in fear upon seeing his demon face?
Season 2 recap
In the Season 2 finale, we saw Lucifer (Tom Ellis) about to come clean to Chloe (Lauren German). He left her a voice message about how he is done hiding and that he is ready to tell her the truth about himself. He said that whatever he was about to tell her would explain why strange things have been happening around him.
Lucifer was determined to tell Chloe everything and was ready to go over to her place, to tell the truth, that he is the Lord of Darkness. Of course, the momentary expectation to see how Chloe would react thrilled fans. After all, it has been a long time coming. However, just as Lucifer hang up someone knocked him cold and the next thing we saw, he woke up in the middle of a desert shirtless and with his wings back. So much for the excitement to see Chloe’s reaction when she finally sees Lucifer as he really is—a demon.
Lucifer decides to reveal his true face to Chloe
However, the long wait may finally be over. A promo for “Lucifer” Season 3 teased that it is revelation time for the devil. At the end of the preview, he approached the detective in one of the rooms at the police station and said, “Detective I’d like to show you who I really am.” We did not see everything that happened in this scene.
However, we can assume that Lucifer showed his demon face to the detective since she looked a bit scared.
Then again, there is the possibility that Chloe did not see his true face at all. Her look could mean she is annoyed or angry with Lucifer for playing tricks on her. Perhaps the revelation would turn out to be another cliffhanger.
One would think that for such revelation, Lucifer would pick a different place rather than at the police station. What if Chloe goes berserk and threatens to kill him?
If Chloe did see his face then how would it affect their relationship? Would she still want to be friends with him? Will she still have romantic feelings for Lucifer?
After all, this is not the first time that the devil tried to come clean. He had done so several times in the past and each time, Chloe passed them off as jokes. It would not be a joke this time when she sees his face and realizes that she has seen it before (in season 1 episode 1 Chloe saw Lucifer’s demon face when he shielded her from the gunshots).
