As seasons passed by, things started becoming increasingly complicated for siblings-turned-lovers Jaime and Cersei Lannister of Game of Thrones.” They experienced the loss of all their children one-by-one. Most of the horrific situations were caused by Cersei’s evil mind. Jaime – who at first, found this characteristic extremely attractive; was now visibly seen fearing it. Things came to a standstill when Cersei was almost convinced of killing Jaime himself.

Cersei’s plans

The “Game of Thrones” Season 7 finale revealed Cersei’s plans on betraying Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen.

She plans on going ahead with the pact with Euron Greyjoy and The Golden Company. Cersei will be quick to kill whoever survives the battle with the Night King. Upon learning this, Jaime is shocked. He decides to walk away from his sister-turned-lover and is threatened by her. Even though “The Mountain” stands in his way, Jaime bravely walks by concluding his (possibly) last meeting with Cersei. He says in the end, “I can’t believe you.” The fans now know that he is no longer willing to be a part of Cersei’s evil plans. His desires about joining Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen against the Army of the Dead are pretty clear.

Cersei and Jaime relationship

According to a report by Time, things between Cersei and Jaime have gone way out of hand.

They have worsened to such an extent that many are led to believe that Jaime Lannister might be the one to kill the evil sister. However, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (the actor who plays Jaime) is of another opinion. In an interview with InStyle, the actor said that it would make sense for him to kill Cersei. According to him, since Jaime killed the Mad King, it would make sense for him to kill the Mad Queen.

This situation won’t be any different than the "Red Wedding 2." But Cersei’s recently-revealed pregnancy has brought about certain complications. Nikolaj really hopes that Jaime isn’t the one to kill Cersei as she is bearing his child. He finds the thought extremely horrible.

In George R. R. Martin’s books, Maggy The Frog foretold Cersei’s death when she was still a child.

According to Maggy, Cersei would die by the hands of her brother. All this while, Cersei assumed that it would be Tyrion. But that scenario hasn’t taken place up till now. Moreover, it seems highly unlikely for this to take place. There are many theories that claimed that she will probably experience miscarriage and die before she could give birth. If this turns out to be true, then the future foretold by Maggy will also turn out to reality.
