"Days of Our Lives" fans are getting ready for a lot of dead character returns in the upcoming months. The news of past characters that have been declared dead in Salem and that are said to be returning has many fans scratching their heads as to just how some of these returns are going to be explained.

Will Horton is about to shake up Salem

One of the biggest returns is said to be that of Chandler Massey who plays Sami Brady's son Will. "Days" fans remember well that Will Horton was killed by Ben Weston during the famous necktie murder outbreak that went down in 2015.

Now that soap fans have confirmation that Chandler Massey will, in fact, be returning to Salem we have to know how this is possible? Massey has opened up with a few hints explaining Will's return.

How far will Ron Carlivati take Days?

Chandler, according to Celebrity Dirty Laundry reveals that Will's return is going to have a medical explanation attached to it. This makes perfect sense if you are a "Days" fan because we are all used to seeing some pretty wild things go down. It is believed that the return of Will Horton is going to be connected to the DiMera family. Back when EJ DiMera died, we saw Kristen, who is played by Eileen Davidson and is also returning, break into the morgue and inject EJ with some sort of drug.

With the return of Stefano DiMera's loyal sidekick, Dr. Rolf also slated to return it is believed that he may have concocted some form of a drug that fakes death and allows resurrection when injected with an antidote. Rolf has concocted some crazy medical experiences over the years, and since he has been gone so long it would have allowed him more than ample opportunity to play mad scientist under the radar of the Salem Police Department.

This scenario would in "Days'" fans eyes work, it would also allow an explanation for other dead Salemites to return, possibly EJ, and who knows maybe one day Bo Brady? As previously reported "DOOL" characters rumored to be returning also include Sami Brady, Ben Weston, Kristan DiMera, Billie Reed, and there has been hushed talk of a potential Stefano recast.

It is about to get very interesting in Salem, especially when these dead family members begin showing up. The upcoming months are going to be explosive, and you are not going to want to miss any of this "Return of the Dead" storyline.

Okay soap fans, what are your thoughts on the character returns, are you into it, or is it too far out there even for Salem? "Days Of Our Lives" airs weekdays on NBC.
