Many fans are now thrilled for the up and coming premiere of “The Walking Dead” season 8. The official synopsis of the imminent installment emphasized the clash of the Negan and the Saviors against the non-zombies of Alexandria, the Kingdom, and the Hilltop.
Recently, showrunner Scott Gimple shared that the imminent eighth season will focus on even more personalities in each episode. The TV exec said that a lot of new characters will be introduced in the upcoming episodes.
More characters in the new installment
Speaking to TV Line, Scott Gimple said that devoted viewers will see the characters affect one another.
"Because of the narrative that we're following... the story this season is really spread out among all of the characters," “TWD” season 8 showrunner stated.
"And the story shifts quite a bit in single episodes between lots of different characters on a consistent basis, which is a little more unusual for the show,” Scott added on. In the season 7 finale, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan), King Ezekiel (Khary Payton) and their associates finally found the courage to stand up against Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and the Saviors.
Rick previously got the support of the Kingdom and Hilltop communities when he decided to fight back against Negan and his allies. Spoilers suggest that Rick and the unified communities will fight for the promise of a brighter future in “The Walking Dead” season 8.
Because of this, fans cannot help but speculate that several deaths could also be expected in the upcoming eighth installment. However, it remains to be seen if Negan will die along with his adherents.
Will Maggie give birth in next season?
Meanwhile, Express shared that Maggie (Lauren Cohan) is very unlikely to give birth in “TWD” season 8.
She has been carrying the Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) since season six.
"Maggie's baby will not be born in season eight. But anything's possible,” showrunner Scott M. Gimple revealed while answering a fan’s query at "The Walking Dead" season 8 preview. Despite this, theories still suggest that Maggie could possibly have her child off-camera.
While these speculations could be true, it should be noted that nothing is confirmed as of yet. Therefore, fans of the popular series should take these rumors lightly until everything is proven true and correct.
“The Walking Dead” is scheduled to premiere on October 22, 2017, on AMC. Stay tuned for spoilers, news, and updates.
