Zendaya has once again addressed her dating rumors with Tom Holland in her interview with ET Online on Tuesday. The 20-year-old actress admitted that these controversies no longer bother her after several years of working in the entertainment industry.

Zendaya shrugs off dating rumors with Tom Holland

The "Shake It Up" actress confessed that they already "expected" that these rumors would emerge at some point. Zendaya felt like controversies are part of their job as actors and added that she has no problem with that.

The young actress went on to explain that it is hard to date regardless of someone's profession or age.

Zendaya thought it is "hard to date in general" and to find someone who will understand her personality. "Sometimes it’s hard to find people that you really click with or really understand you, and add on top of that the fact that my lifestyle is very different, so it’s tough, but I'm chillin’," she explained.

Zendaya had previously said in her Variety interview that Tom Holland has become "one of [her] best friends" after they have worked together in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" where they played as MJ Jones and Peter Parker. The actress even commended her co-star for being a "great dude" and for being understanding.

Inside Zendaya and Tom Holland's rumored relationship

The "Spider-Man: Homecoming" co-stars were first mired in dating rumors after several sources claimed that the two had hit it off while filming the movie.

An unnamed source even said that the rumored couple has gone on vacations while trying to keep their romance under wraps.

Another source said that Zendaya and Tom Holland have developed a close relationship while working together for the movie. “They’re both really ambitious and they challenge each other — but, most importantly, they make each other crack up," they claimed.

The two actors, on the other hand, laughed it off when they learned about the dating rumors and took to social media to deny these unconfirmed reports.

Zendaya even recalled what Tom Holland told her about their first meeting at the audition for their "Spider-Man: Homecoming" roles.

“He says when we first met it was super awkward because he went for a handshake and I went for a hug,” she stated.

The actress even joked about how she worried about their height difference and thought that it would be weird if she had to stand beside him during the audition. "But then we ended up doing the audition sitting. So that was good," she mused.
