After Joy-Anna Duggar and her husband, Austin Forsyth, announced one wedding date and then got married on a completely different day, many fans of the Duggar family and the show "Counting On" think that Kendra Caldwell and Joseph Duggar might actually be planning the same thing for their own wedding. The pair has given a date for their upcoming wedding, after getting engaged at Joy-Anna and Austin's wedding, in addition to having set up a registry. However, fans are skeptical that the pair is actually going to get married on the date that they claimed due to the fact that the pair just recently had a joint bachelor/bachelorette party, which leads many to think the wedding date is much closer than previously announced.
Kendra's wedding registry lists the date as October 7, 2017.
Rumors of marriage
It was rumored that Kendra and Joseph already tied the knot when a photo of Jeremy Vuolo, Jinger Duggar's husband, surfaced of him wearing a suit and holding Jessa Duggar's son. In the caption, Jeremy said he was at a wedding. Many fans deduced that this was actually Kendra and Joseph's wedding since Jeremy did not announce whose wedding he was at or why his in-laws were also at the event. However, this appears to have not been the case since the pair has just celebrated their bachelor and bachelorette parties together.
The bachelor/bachelorette parties
As one would expect from a Duggar, or one marrying into the family, the bachelor and bachelorette parties are incredibly tame and family friendly.
The pair celebrated on a boat, getting together with family and friends to celebrate the last days of singledom. Joy-Anna Duggar also had a joint bachelor/bachelorette party with her husband, Austin Forsyth not long before the pair walked down the aisle. As such, this leads many to think that Joseph and Kendra are getting ready to hear wedding bells themselves.
Most Duggar couples have only been engaged for a short while before tying the knot. Most of their engagements have lasted anywhere from three to four months, meaning Kendra and Joseph would be on schedule to get married this month or next month instead of waiting until October to do so.
The Duggar children often get married relatively quickly partially because of their family's religious objections to doing anything outside of marriage, including kissing. All of the couples share their first kiss with the rest of the congregation on their wedding day.
