“The Winds Of Winter has been delayed for quite some time now but some fans are still looking forward to getting their hands on the book anytime soon. George R.R. Martin has previously said that he is no longer working on the five “Game of Thrones” spin-offs so he can focus more on finishing the book. He recently announced through his blog that he might be able to release not just one but two novels by next year although he didn’t specifically cite the “WOW.” However, he said that he is months away from finishing it and fans were quick to speculate that it might be delivered in 2018.

Recently, a software engineer and a huge fan of “GOT” wrote the first 5,376 pages of the impending novel, where twists are incredible.

Jaime and Varys’ to kill the queens

Motherboard reports that software engineer Zack Thoutt have different crazy twists in The Winds Of Winter when he wrote the first 5,376 pages of Martin’s novel. The first five chapters have also been uploaded on GitHub. According to Thoutt’s own version of the novel, Ser Jamie Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) will kill his twin sister and lover at the same time, Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey). Varys, the eunuch or the Master of Whisperers (Conleth Hill) will also poison Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke). Jon Snow will also ride a dragon while Sansa Stark turns out to be the late King Robert Baratheon’s bastard.

"Jaime killed Cersei and was cold and full of words, and Jon thought he was the wolf now, and white harbor.." reads one section of Thoutt’s version of “The Winds of Winter.” “‘I feared Master Sansa, Ser,’ Ser Jaime reminded her. ‘She Baratheon is one of the crossing. The second sons of your onion concubine.” These predictions have been also one of the infamous theories among fans although Thoutt said that he did not feed these from fan theory websites but only the novels.

Another fan-made theory that has been circulating online is that Bran Stark, the Three-Eyed Raven turns out to be the King of the Dead.

Who will be the surviving characters in the novel?

According to George R.R. Martin, “The Winds of Winter” will have a lot of dead characters from “Game of Thrones” that will still be alive in the book.

Although he did not go into details, theories have it that most of the dead Starks will still make it alive in the novel. One notable character that died right away in “GOT” is Eddard or Ned Stark. Some fans suggest that he will have a lot of things to do in the series other than being dead especially that he knows about Lyanna Stark’s son, Jon Snow.

“The Winds of Winter” is the sixth novel of George R.R. Martin’s fantasy series “A Song of Ice and Fire.”
