Kathy Griffin came under fire for uploading a cryptic depiction of Donald Trump from her photo shoot with renowned photographer Tyler Shields in May. The stand-up comedian personally uploaded her photo with an effigy of the president's severed head.
Griffin slammed for attacking POTUS in photo shoot
The controversial photo spread like a wildfire before she could even take it down from her social media account. Kathy Griffin immediately released an apology after she stirred up online outrage from both Donald Trump's supporters and critics.
The "Suddenly Susan" actress was also criticized by some politicians and celebrities who deemed the photo inappropriate.
Even Anderson Cooper was "appalled" when he saw his colleague's controversial photo of the president.
For the record, I am appalled by the photo shoot Kathy Griffin took part in. It is clearly disgusting and completely inappropriate.

Kathy Griffin used to work with Anderson Cooper for CNN's "New Year's Eve Live" for almost a decade before the network terminated their contract with the female comedian in the wake of her controversial photo shoot.
The "60 Minutes" correspondent has clarified in a previous interview that he is still friends with his former co-host even after he shared his opinion of the issue. "I said what I said about -- I didn’t think what she said was appropriate, but I wish her the best and I hope she bounces back," he explained.
Comedian breaks silence after controversy
But unlike his statement, Kathy Griffin recently confirmed that she has already cut her ties with Anderson Cooper after he publicly claimed that all is well between them without even checking in with her.
In an interview with Australia's "Sunrise" talk show, the stand-up comedian admitted that she "lost everybody" after she was mired in the controversy that has placed her under a two-month federal investigation.
Kathy Griffin, however, is no longer apologetic for attacking Donald Trump in her photo shoot.
“I am no longer sorry, the whole outrage was B.S., the whole thing got so blown out of proportion,” she said before she turned to her critics, “You’re full of crap. Stop acting like my little picture is more important than talking about the actual atrocities that the president of the United States is committing.”
Similarly, the 56-year-old personality refused to address Donald Trump as the U.S.
president, but instead called him "the fool." In fact, Kathy Griffin is expected to talk about her bloody depiction of the POTUS on her upcoming "Laugh Your Head Off" world tour slated to start in October.
