During the finale of "The Bachelorette" on Monday night, August 7, Rachel Lindsay sat through the three-hour episode to talk with host Chris Harrison. She explained certain scenes to the studio audience and to ABC viewers. She came face-to-face with Eric Bigger, the third runner up. Eric showed no bitterness for being eliminated after coming so far in the process. He thanked Rachel for allowing him to grow up. He said he will always be fond of Rachel, but he can move on.

Then Rachel came face to face with Peter Kraus, the second runner up. They had not seen each other since the emotional breakup.

Peter tried to contact Rachel afterward, but she didn't think it was a good idea.

During the finale, Peter appeared to be angry because Rachel did not choose him. She said she was in love with him, but she went on the show to get a proposal, something Peter was adamant against. He wanted to date her and was set against proposing.

Living best life

The 32-year-old Dallas attorney made it clear to Peter what she wanted. Peter said he didn't remember telling Rachel that without him her life would be mediocre. When he first said it, she asked him what he meant. He explained that she was choosing a ring over him who would give her an exceptional life. When it was brought to his attention what he had said, he apologized.

Rachel responded by saying she is living her best life. Peter admitted he is still struggling over the breakup with Rachel because he still had feelings for her.

Bryan's proposal

By now, people probably know that Bryan Abasolo and rachel lindsay are engaged. The 37-year-old chiropractor from Miami, Florida proposed to her partially in Spanish.

He said some of the things he said to her when they first met. He proposed with a 3-carat pear-shaped diamond Neil Lane engagement ring. Rachel told Bryan he was her forever and her future.

At the end of the finale, Harrison showed Rachel and Bryan the cover of People magazine. Their beautiful photo is on the cover and their story is on the inside.

The newly engaged couple appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Monday night and on "Good Morning America" and "Live With Kelly & Ryan on Tuesday morning.

Rachel and Bryan have not decided if they will live in Dallas, Miami, or Los Angeles. If Rachel moves out of Texas, she would have to pass the bar in other states if she wants to practice law there. So far, she says she wants a winter wedding, and they will probably get married in December 2018 or January 2019.
