More than two months left before the NBA regular season begins and we are already hearing updates about the players involved. One of them would be Stephen Curry who spreads the news that the Golden State Warriors will not be an easy team to beat.
Stephen Curry spoke about what the Warriors will become when the season begins, hinting some new talents and returning players, who will be undergoing some demanding challenges to give their fans a game that is worth watching.
Golden State Warriors got better as per Stephen Curry
“I think we got better and that’s obviously a good sign for us. I sure hope we pick up where we left off. So I am excited about getting back to work,” the two-time MVP said.
The NBA committee marked the month of August as the time to release the game schedules. Even though the final list will still emerge on their site a week from now, news about a game in Mexico City is already going on, and we are wondering if the Warriors are also flying to Latin America to show their skills and score some points.
Although the 29-year-old NBA player has surpassed his own records of three-pointers, that earned him 2 Most Valuable Player awards, some media members of the league still doubt his position as one of the foremost players, after earning the 7th place in ESPN’s 2016-2017 MVP ranking forecast.
Will Curry surpass Kevin Durant?
The newest Golden State warrior, Kevin Durant, came in as a favorite for the season’s MVP award. A comment about the player states that “He led the NBA in win shares per 48 minutes, delivered the most efficient shooting season of his career and morphed into an All-NBA-caliber defender.”
Lebron James (Cleveland Cavaliers) also made the cut since he has not yet exhibited any indication of slowing down, followed by the familiar names of Kawhi Leonard (San Antonio Spurs), James Harden (Houston Rockets) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), Russell Westbrook (Oklahoma City Thunder) and then Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors). Comments about him included: “With all the attention on Durant and James, Curry quietly had one of the most dominant NBA Finals ever, averaging 26.8 points, 9.4 assists and 8.0 rebounds per game.
He had at least 25 points and ten assists in three games, something only Michael Jordan has ever done on the Finals stage.”
This can come off as a sign for a good Golden State Warriors season yet it seems like it is overshadowing Stephen Curry’s reputation. The answer would probably be ready by April of 2018.
