Thousands of fans around the world are now stoked for the premiere of “Outlander” season 3. Recently, Caitriona Balfe revealed the things fans should expect in the series’ third installment.

In a promotional tour, the leading lady of Sam Heughan was asked several questions about her career and personal life. The Irish actress was even forced to respond to the endless romance rumors hounding her and Mauzy MacKenzie’s boyfriend.

Jamie Fraser and Claire Randall’s love scenes

According to Celebrity Insider, Catriona Balfe has underscored again that there is nothing romantic happening between her and leading man Sam Heughan. The “Outlander” season 3 actress even stated that they would not hesitate to tell the public if they were truly having an affair.

The 37-year-old star also shared that Jamie Fraser and Claire Randall are totally taking their steamy love scenes to the next level when they get reunited in the third season. For starters, the lead characters of the popular STARZ series were separated in the second installment.

Claire Randall got stuck in the 20th century along with Frank Randall, who is her first husband, and her daughter with Jamie Fraser, Brianna Randall Fraser. Jamie, for his part, will try his luck in the 18th century.

It was revealed that the characters of Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan will be reunited in “Outlander” season 3 episode 6 in a print shop. As expected, the pair will be rekindling their feelings for each other after several years of separation.

Balfe stated in Celebrity Insider that Jamie and Claire's love "survives time, and it will be as passionate as it was before, but it is definitely going to be a period of discovery." The STARZ actress added that fans should watch the imminent season as there will be a lot of “nice” scenes, The Scottish Sun reported.

Irish actress shares thoughts on equal pay

Meanwhile, Caitriona Balfe aired her feelings on the gender wage gap during a recent press event. According to Sam Heughan’s leading lady, she never had an idea about getting paid less than her male co-stars in the past.

Balfe, however, emphasized that things are different now as she is already comfortable speaking up her thoughts. The STARZ artist added she’s glad that women can now demand equal pay unlike before, Digital Spy reported.

"I think it's really great that that conversation is out there and that women now feel empowered that they can demand equal pay,” Balfe told the press. "I'm all for it, obviously,” the "Outlander" season 3 actress added.
