Millions of fans are still clueless about the fate of Special Agents Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and Tim McGee (Sean Murray) after they were left behind in Paraguay following a rebel attack. It is expected that the first few episodes of the imminent “NCIS” season 15 will pick up where the last installment left off.
Recent spoilers are claiming that Michael Weatherly could possibly get reunited with his former co-stars in the upcoming fifteenth season. While this is not impossible to happen, there are still some hang-ups.
Why Weatherly’s return might not happen?
Carter Matt reported that Michael Weatherly might not be able to join “NCIS” Season 15 since he is already a regular on another CBS series called “Bull.” According to the publication, the 49-year-old actor is going to film mostly in New York, which is very far from NCIS’ location in Los Angeles.
The news outlet suggested that it is very unlikely for Weatherly to fly off from one state to another to just film a guest appearance on a different series. However, Carter Matt noted that this may happen if “Bull” Season 2 completes all the scenes first.
Even if Robert Wagner is confirmed to reprise his role as Anthony Dinozzo Sr. in “NCIS” Season 15, it does not mean that Tony Dinozzo Jr.
(Michael Weatherly) has to return also. As a matter of fact, Wagner appeared in several episodes without any signs of Weatherly, People's Choice reported.
Weatherly previously confessed that he is willing to return in the popular series should there be a chance. However, the “Dark Angel” star admitted that he does not think it is going to happen very soon.
Who will save agents Gibbs and McGee?
Meanwhile, it is confirmed that Special Agents Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and Tim McGee (Sean Murray) will be in serious danger in “NCIS” Season 15 after they were successfully abducted by the rebels. In an exclusive photo released by Entertainment Weekly, the duo was seen sporting beards and blood stains, which suggests that they totally need saving.
Rumors have it that Agent Nicholas Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) will be heading the team on Gibbs’ behalf. Hence, some fans speculated that Nick could also be the one to initiate a rescue operation for his two superiors.
To recall, “NCIS” Season 15 showrunner Frank Cardea previously shared that the forthcoming installment will start out with a time jump. He added that the NCIS team will continue working two months after Special Agents Leroy Jethro Gibbs and Tim McGee got kidnapped. Spoilers also suggest that Gibbs and McGee will be able to survive the ordeal and get reunited with their loved ones at some point in the imminent season.
“NCIS” Season 15 is scheduled to return on September 16, 2017 on CBS. Stay tuned for more spoilers, news, and updates!
