Avid followers of Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe would soon see the duo’s on-screen reunion via the “Outlander” Season 3, which is set to premiere next month. Recently, the Irish actress has revealed some significant details about the series’ fourth installment.
STARZ actress confirmed Season 4 is happening
Daily Record reported that Caitriona Balfe, herself, has confirmed that another installment is coming up after “Outlander” Season 3. According to Sam Heughan’s leading lady, they will start working on the fourth season in October.
Balfe shared the news to her Twitter followers when one fan asked her about the imminent Season 4.
In the said post, the 37-year-old actress divulged that they will begin filming in roughly two months from now.
The news came several weeks after Sam Heughan and Catriona Balfe were sighted together after they wrapped up working for “Outlander” Season 3. Soaked in water, the STARZ artists were sighted celebrating with beer together with some crew and staff.
Series’ showrunner revealed spoilers for the fourth installment
Aside from Balfe, Ronald D. Moore has also shared details about the series’ fourth season. According to the series’ showrunner, both Jamie and Claire Fraser will depart from Scotland to relocate to the American colonies after Season 3.
“They’ll always have a foot in Scotland because there’s always a piece of the story that will continue to play out in Scotland,” Moore explained.
He added that Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe’s characters would establish Fraser’s Ridge, which is located in the mountains of North America.
The showrunner said that Jamie and Claire Fraser will settle in the Fraser’s Ridge with their family. Because of this, fans cannot help but speculate that the lead characters could possibly have more babies in the upcoming installment, International Business Times reported.
While these claims could be true, it should be noted that neither Sam Heughan nor Caitriona Balfe has confirmed anything as of yet. So, fans should take these speculations with a grain of salt.
Scottish actor debunked dating rumors
Meanwhile, The Inquisitr claimed that Heughan and Balfe got closer while filming “Outlander” Season 3.
The publication stated that the closeness of the two artists sparked romance rumors.
Adding fuel to the fire are the claims saying that Heughan and Balfe were spotted getting flirty and cozy with each other during breaks. However, the Scottish actor debunked the claims by finally introducing MacKenzie Mauzy as his girlfriend at his 37th birthday party in South Africa.
