The "Jeepers Creepers 3" World Premier that was scheduled for September 13th at the TLC Chinese 6 Theater in Los Angeles has been officially canceled due to a group of people who have been threatening to protest the event.
Some horror film fans have been anxiously awaiting the release of the upcoming third installment in the "Jeepers Creepers" films, and now it is uncertain if the story will ever be told. The sold out event's venue believe that it is for the best for all involved at this time to cancel the horror flicks screening.

Kory Davis, the events screening coordinator, made the announcement early on Tuesday, August 29th that they felt the best action at this time for the safety of all was to cancel the event. This decision was made following multiple threats from a group of people who threatened to protest the film's release and any and everything related to the movie.
Victor Salva's crimes not forgotten, or forgiven
The screening's organizer Kory Davis broke the news today, and it turns out that TCL Chinese Theater chose to shut it all down after they were threatened by people who said they planned to protest during the event and everything leading up the premiere as well.
The road to the third "Jeepers Creepers 3" film has been a very rocky one at that. Protests began after news of "Jeepers Creepers'" writer/director Victor Salva's criminal past began circulating. In 1988, Victor Salva was convicted of sexually assaulting a young actor on the set of Clownhouse for the purposes of producing child pornography.
Salva was found guilty and sentenced to three years behind bars; he was released in 2003 after serving 15 months in prison.
Salva kept a relatively low profile until 2006 when he emerged making a public plea for forgiveness.
“I pled guilty to a terrible crime, and I’ve spent the rest of my life trying to make up for it,” he told the LA Times.
“For almost 20 years, I’ve been involved with helping others, I’ve been in therapy, and I’ve made Movies. But I paid my debt to society and apologized to the young man. And all I can hope is that people will give me a chance to redeem myself.”
Despite serving out his jail time and begging forgiveness for his crimes many people are not willing to let Salva off the hook, now, or ever it appears. It is human nature to be forgiving, but some things, especially crimes against children of any nature are nearly impossible to be overlooked, no matter how long ago the crimes were committed, or how remorseful the criminal appears to be.
The film which was originally slated to open to the public on September 26th has now been pushed back until a date to be announced in 2018.
It is hard to state at this time if the "Jeepers Creepers 3" film will ever be released publicly due to Salva's criminal past, but one thing appears certain the film franchise will remain forever tarnished in the eyes of horror fans for many generations to come.
