“Supergirl” season 3 is set to return in October and we all know that the prominent CW series will be introducing a new villain. Odette Annable will portray the role of a villain named Reign in Season 3. Hidden Remote reported that Annable shared details about her newest villain role.

According to Annable, Reign will be noticeably different from the previous villains. It seems like Season 3 will have much bigger issues to resolve than focusing on Kara Zor-el (Melissa Benoist) and Mon-el's (Chris Wood) heartbreaks. The new antagonist in town will not only cause chaos, but also sees Supergirl as her main target.

Who is Reign?

As earlier reports revealed, Reign was described as one of the most renowned killers. Viewers must note that she did not come to destroy the earth or even National City. She came from Krypton with a very specific agenda and fans must watch out for that.

Like Kara (Benoist) and Clark (Tyler Hoechlin), Reign (Annable) was also sent from Krypton to Earth. "Reign, as most of you probably know, is a world killer. She was bioengineered in a lab,” Annable added, sharing that the story of Reign stands out among the show's former villains.

Moreover, do not expect any bloody scenarios from Reign. She might be a famous world killer but it seems like there is a heartbreaking story behind her tough character.

These things will unfold in Season 3 and Annable thinks that viewers may even sympathize with her.

'Supergirl' talks humanity in Season 3

Annable shared that with Reign in the series, the story of humanity will have a huge part in Season 3. Meanwhile, a previous report revealed that Kevin Smith will be returning as a director in the upcoming season.

Aside from Reign, another Kryptonian is expected to be featured in the show.

Viewers can expect that witchcraft may enter National City. This mysterious character reportedly knows something that she will use against Supergirl. As of now, there are no confirmed details about her identity. Hopefully fans will soon find out -- along with how she will fit into the story.

During the Season 2 finale, viewers had a first look at the baby Reign. In the end, many are hoping that these new characters will help fill in the blanks from the past. Many fans want to know why Krypton was destroyed -- the main reason why Supergirl and Superman end up on Earth. Until then, stay tuned for more details relating to “Supergirl” Season 3 as they become available, and share your thoughts in the comment section below.
