International pop superstar Katy Perry has just released her newest music video titled “Swish Swish,” and on top of the celebrities she enlisted on the roll was rapper-singer Nicki Minaj. The female rapper portrayed a glamorous halftime show performer in the video.

Perry’s new “Swish Swish” music video was themed as a basketball match between the Tigers and the Sheep. It told the story of the Tigers team bullied by the opponent but came out victorious in the end. The single is part of her upcoming album titled “Witness,” EurWeb reported.

During the halftime show, the “Anaconda” singer appeared on the court to perform the rap part of the song.

She was wearing a glamorous Lady Gaga-like black attire and sported a stylish visor with her long blonde hair combed straight.

Her rap lyrics read, “Pink Ferragamo sliders on deck, Silly rap beefs just get me more checks, My life is a movie, I’m never offset, Me and my amigos, no, not Offset.” She then passed the ball over to Perry’s team, encouraging them to fight back and win the game. The singer was nicknamed “Kobe Perry” in the music video.

Pack of celebrities

The female singer enlisted certain celebrities to be part of her newest music video, just like she did when she released “Last Friday Night” back in 2011. A sneak preview was shown before Thursday’s official launch.

Throughout the music video, some of the celebrities who appeared were Molly Shannon, Terry Crews, and Thor “the Mountain” Björnsson.

Also featured were Jenna Ushkowitz from “Glee,” Gaten Matarazzo from “Stranger Things,” and Christina Sydelko. Rich Eisen and Bill Walton portrayed the roles of sports commentators.

Just like in every music video she has unveiled, Perry changed up her image for the “Swish Swish” music video. She sported a short pixie haircut, perfect for her basketball jersey attire bearing the name of her team, “Tigers.”

No Swift, Perry duet

Despite the rumors that the MTV Video Music Awards 2017 will feature a duet between Katy Perry and her rival Taylor Swift, producer Garrett English told Entertainment Online that no such performance will happen, this weekend.

According to English, Perry is confirmed as a host of the event but the rumored performance with Swift will not transpire.

However, the show producer confirmed that there will be costume changes and a lot of movement from the “Swish Swish” singer. He added that she will use the space on stage in order to reveal her dynamic and epic personality.
