A recent report on Just Jared Jr. revealed that Katy Perry might be reuniting with Taylor Swift at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards. Despite the alleged feud between the two artists, they are rumored to possibly “do something together at the show.”

The MTV VMA's are scheduled to happen this weekend in Inglewood, California with Perry hosting the event. Just Jared Jr. reported that Swift is not expected to attend the show at this time, but she might just surprise her fans now that her new music video is underway.

The two artists are currently still in a feud because of some issues that began back in 2014.

According to Rolling Stone, the alleged feud between the two of them began when Swift accused the “Roar” singer of hiring a group of people from the “Bad Blood” singer’s team during a big concert held a few years ago.

Fans speculated that the person she was referring to was Perry, but she never really revealed the identity of her enemy, up until TMZ released a report that there were three dancers from Swift’s concert tour that joined Perry during her performance. The “Roar” songstress appeared in an interview with a radio show on Monday to speak about the alleged feud.

Perry speaks up

Earlier this week, Katy Perry appeared on the SiriusXM program “The Morning Mash-Up,” revealing her insights about the on-going feud with Taylor Swift.

She said that she would love “for the beef to end,” and she would love to “take it off the barbecue.”

The singer also added that she has not heard back from her co-artist since then. Fox News reported that Swift has not replied to her statements yet.

Perry is set to release a new music video titled “Swish Swish.” The music video is allegedly about a bully trying to hold her back.

Fans speculated that it would be a message for the “Shake It Off” singer, because of certain similarities and parallelisms, Fox News added.

The MTV VMAs

The “Swish Swish” singer is slated to both host and perform during the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards, a show that honors the best musical artists in the industry. She earned nominations this year for “Best Visual Effects,” “Best Art Direction, “Best Direction,” and “Best Collaboration.”

The show will be aired live at The Forum on August 27. Expected performers for the event include Gucci Mane, Khalid, Logic and Post Malone, among many others. Pink will also receive the "Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award" during the MTV VMA show.
