Maria Bello has been away from the small screen, but she is now back as a series regular in “NCIS” Season 15. The news emerges after “Girl Meets World” star Cheryl Texiera revealed that she will also have an appearance in the television series on her Twitter page.
In fact, the “Goliath” star has signed a three-year contract to stay on the action police procedural drama. Will she be the new love interest of the fan-favorite Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) or his opponent?
NCIS’ new agent
Maria Bello is going to play the role of another NCIS agent.
She is commissioned as a second lieutenant in the army and has served two tours in Afghanistan, the Hollywood Reporter revealed.
She is known as the agency’s best forensic psychologist and described as a “positive force, mischievous and at times acerbic.” She is also the only one who can criticize and challenge Leroy Jethro Gibbs. Although there might be a conflict between the two, they will always have respect for each other.
In the statement made by the show’s executive producers George Schenck and Frank Cardea (via THR), they said that they have always been avid fans of the 50-year-old star’s works. With that, they are now excited to introduce her as their new agent, who has a “unique relationship with Gibbs and a distinct talent.” Her character, whose name is not yet revealed, will be seen in “NCIS” Season 15 Episode 4.
Another new character coming
Moreover, aside from Maria Bello, it looks like the “Girl Meets World” star Cheryl Texiera is also going to be introduced in “NCIS” Season 15.
On the show’s IMDb profile, the 34-year-old star’s “awesome role” is named Jezebel and she will be seen in only one episode. To recall, she revealed on her Twitter page that she will have an appearance in the television series and gave her fans a glimpse of what she is going to look like.
In a side-by-side snap, she is wearing a rugged outfit hinting that a cool woman will be rocking her way on the police procedural drama. “From audition to full concept,” she captioned her selfie. Cheryl Texiera also revealed that she is already done filming for the show and had no words for its cast and crew but “incredible.” According to Carter Matt, her role must be seen in the first few episodes of the long-running television series.
Maria Bello and Cheryl Texiera are joining the returning Sean Murray, Emily Wickersham, Pauley Perrette, Wilmer Valderrama, Brian Dietzen, Duane Henry, Rocky Carroll, David McCallum, and of course, Mark Harmon. “NCIS” Season 15 is returning on Sept. 26 on CBS.
