Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Peta Murgatroyd, and some familiar faces have been confirmed to return on "Dancing With The Stars" for its 25th season on September 18. In fact, the Ukrainian-American pro could not hide his excitement to be back in the ballroom to compete against his wife and other pros.

Maksim talks 'DWTS' new season, parenthood

In his interview with "Good Morning America" on Thursday, Maksim Chmerkovskiy joked about going against Peta Murgatroyd for the coveted mirror ball trophy. "Who's competing against anyone? Don't instigate," he said.

"I have a lot of stuff to deal with so, please, let's just chill."

He went on and promised to bring an exciting new season before he opened up how "Dancing with the Stars" has helped him and his wife. "I think coming back this season, we're coming back with the same sort of approach. We just wanna have fun, we just want to be a sort of family doing stuff together," he explained.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy also mused about his seven-month old son, Shai, who can now recognize certain things. The "Dancing with the Stars" pro added that his son would even dance to some commercials and hoped that he would do the same when he sees them on the dance show.

Aside from their exciting comeback in the ballroom, the couple are enjoying the moments of parenthood.

The 37-year-old pro dancer stated that the summer break has allowed him and his wife to focus on raising their son and watch him discover new things each day.

'DWTS' names returning, debuting pros

Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd will be joined by Val Chmerkovskiy, Emma Slater, Artem Chigvintsev, Gleb Savchenko, Keo Motsepe, Lindsay Arnold, Sharna Burgess, Witney Carson, and Mark Ballas.

Alan Bersten, who will be making his debut as a pro, said he "feels amazing" to finally get this opportunity to level up his participation on the show.

The rookie used to be a troupe dancer before he was given a chance to fill in for Maksim Chmerkovskiy's absence due to a calf injury. "It's nice to have Maks by my side and help walk me through my first interview [as a pro]," he said.

Now that the full list of pros joining "Dancing with the Stars" Season 25 was revealed, viewers of the popular show will have to wait until September 6 to get to know the celebrity partners of these dance pros.

According to ET Online, the identities of these personalities will be announced on "Good Morning America." Similarly, several names have already emerged as potential candidates for the new season, including Nikki Bella and Drew Scott, although nothing has been confirmed at the moment.
