The Kree/Skrull War in MCU and other information regarding ‘Captain Marvel’

As we all know, it is already confirmed that “Captain Marvel” will be taking place during the 1990s and will involve the Skrulls into the majority of its plot. And since Carol Danvers’ story will be involved in the intergalactic Kree/Skrull War, the possibility of them setting up the shape-shifting alien species’ association to the larger part of Marvel Cinematic Universe’s storyline is pretty high.

Marvel is yet to reveal the official origin of Carol Danvers’ powers and special abilities in the upcoming movie.

Though, one thing to note is that Kevin Feige has confirmed that the film will feature the planet Kree where Mar-Vell originated. In the comics, Mar-Vell was the creature that gave Carol Danvers her superpowers. And with this information, we can assume that the film will possibly follow this storyline. As of now, Kree is already embedded deeply in the current lore of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, particularly in the TV series “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

” and “Inhumans.”

Another thing to note is that Kevin Feige revealed that Captain Marvel will be the most powerful character in Marve’s superhero rosters. He stated a while back in his interview with Vulture that Captain Marvel’s power level is immeasurable, and she is set to become the strongest character they’d ever had. He also mentioned that with this amount of strength, making her relatable is one of their main goals.

He explained that it would only be apt for them to counterbalance her powers with something that feels real and human.

Captain Marvel” will star Brie Larson as the titular character. Brie is best known for her outstanding performance in “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” and “Short Term 12.” “Captain Marvel” is set to hit the theaters on March 8, 2019.
