"Game of Thrones" Season 7 finale has set a new record in terms of ratings on Sunday night as it reached 16 million viewers based on Neilsen's recent statistics. The total viewership reported by Business Insider was believed to include those who viewed the episode on the actual airing on the HBO Go and the HBO Now. Further, it was also reported that 12.1 million viewers also recorded the live broadcast of the season finale making it the most-watched episode of the entire series history.

The Business Insider has revealed that each episode of the series has reached 30 million viewers which include the delayed viewing. Apparently, the series made a 36 percent increase in numbers of viewers compared to the Season 6 finale, which only drew 8.9 million viewers in 2016.
On the average, HBO has confirmed that "Game of Thrones" Season 7 has reached eight million more viewers compared to the previous episodes of Season 6. These records are making the series the most highly-anticipated series on the HBO network.
Moreover, it was also reported that the upcoming eighth and final season may not air until 2019 as the network must deal first with some conflicts on its production schedule. The final season is also slated to feature eight long episodes by 2019.

According to CBS News, "Game of Thrones" Season 7 has been on the regular rankings as the second most viewed series in each week on HBO.
It was further reported that the Season 7 finale episode started gaining 10 million viewers on its kickoff while the other episodes drew around 10.7 million views later on. The series has been wildly known as the most popular fantasy drama on TV and has also drew over four million viewers on the streaming channels.
HBO revealed in its statement that this year's season of "Game of Thrones" had an average of 31 million viewers around the world, earning an increase of eight million viewers from the previous year.
