The latest episode of “Game of Thrones’ season 7 has finally been released and it focuses on Jon Snow’s trip beyond the wall. The sixth episode has also revealed an unexpected death, which is literally the biggest loss in this season of the series.
Deaths beyond the wall
The sixth episode of “Game of Thrones” started off with Jon Snow’s retrieval team beyond the wall, outside the Eastwatch. Jon, Jorah, Tormund, and Gendry joined forces with the Hound’s small group and set off outside the wall to get one White Walker so they can present it to Cersei and convince her into helping them fight against the Night King’s huge army.
The fearless group ran into their first White Walker in the form of an undead bear who attacked them and even killed one of their comrades. Thoros ended up getting bitten after charging towards the undead bear’s attack, which was aimed at the Hound.
Thoros survived that attack but he eventually succumbed to death in the new episode when the group faced off with the White Walkers. The group finally got their White Walker but the Night King and its army were able to catch up to them.
Jon lets Gendry flee and instructs him to send a raven to Daenerys as soon as he gets to the Eastwatch. Days passed since Jon’s group sought refuge on a rock in the middle of a frozen lake, which was fragile enough to keep the White Walkers at bay.
However, the Hound made a mistake by throwing a rock out of boredom and revealed that the lake was frozen solid and would hold up against an army. The White Walkers charged at Jon Snow’s group and just before they lost hope, Daenerys arrives with her three dragons just in time to save them.
However, the Night King put up a fight and killed one of the dragons, Viserion and because of this, Daenerys had to leave behind Jon so she can save the rest of her dragons. After the humans fled, Benjen Stark arrived to save Jon.
The Night King also eventually retrieved Viserion’s corpse beneath the lake and revived the dragon to join his army of undead.
The Starks
As revealed in last week’s episode of “Game of Thrones,” Little Finger has made his move against the young Stark siblings, scheming to pit Arya and Sansa against each other by bringing up their late father’s death and Sansa alleged betrayal.
Sansa and Arya are still at each other’s necks but the former is more on her toes when she receives an invitation from Cersei to visit King’s Landing. Sansa knew better than go there or send another Stark to the Lannisters so she forced Brienne to go in her place instead.
