“Game of Thrones” Season 7 Episode 4 titled “The Spoils of War” has leaked online and this leak is not related to the cyber attack that HBO was subjected to a few days back. This time, it has happened from Star India, the distribution partner of HBO as the leaked episode videos bear the watermark of Star India. So, many have watched the episode online and from what the viewers have been posting, it looks like another major character will die in this season after Lady Olenna.
Leaked episode indicates encounter between Daenerys and Jaime
Those who have watched the leaked fourth episode of the current season have shared a serious face off between two popular characters who are on the opposite warring sides.
It is between the Mother of Dragons and the King Slayer. The two come face to face in “The Spoils of War” and as fans know Jaime is the one who killed Dany’s father Mad King. So, the murderer of her father finally comes before her and has to face the wrath of Drogon who breathes a gust of fire on him and he is saved in the nick of time by Bronn who jumps along with him into a lake.
So, is Jaime Lannister the head of Queen Cersei's army? It seems so as a fan wrote that the episode shows Jaime sinking below into the lake. Well, this is bad news for fans of Jaime but all hope is not lost as it might happen that he is taken captive and the next episode sees Cersei using Qyburn’s weapon to destroy her dragons and get her brother and paramour back.
Star India confirms leak
In the meantime, the leakage of GOT episode 4 has happened from the end of one of HBO’s distributors - Star India. The leaked episode video possesses the watermark of Star India saying “for internal viewing only” and insiders claim that the copy was very likely for subtitling or dubbing.
Star India has also confirmed the leakage as it took the responsibility for the same.
In a statement, the spokesperson of the distributor said that the leakage confirms the compromise of the fourth episode of the HBO fantasy series but they are taking the matter seriously. He stated that Star India has called for a forensic investigation at their own end as well as at the end of their technology partner to find out the cause of the leakage.
It is worth mentioning here that this leak does not have any direct link with the hacking that HBO went through some days back, resulting in a theft of 1.5 terabytes of data. Nevertheless, it may be that the hackers are same in both the cases.
