Cersei Lannister has finally defeated two enemies in "Game of Thrones' Season 7 Episode 3, reducing the number of Daenerys Targaryen's allies to zero. However, several fans have noticed that Cersei's revenge on Ellaria Sand and her daughter Tyene was strikingly similar to an infamous torture that is often mentioned in "A Song of Ice and Fire."

In "The Queen's Justice", Euron Greyjoy finally presented Ellaria and Tyene Sand to Cersei Lannister. Not surprisingly, the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms already knows how to deal with her daughter's murderer.

Cersei returns a 'gift'

The fate of Ellaria and Tyene Sand was revealed in "Game of Thrones" Season 7 Episode 3. After a humiliating parade on the streets of King's Landing, they were ultimately given to Cersei Lannister as a present from Euron. Interestingly, Cersei herself had a gift for Ellaria.

In a surprising turn of events, Cersei kissed Tyene in front of her mother before it was revealed that the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms had coated her lips with poison similar to the one Ellaria used on Myrcella Baratheon. Cersei then declared that Ellaria is condemned to watch her daughter die just inches in front of her.

Ellaria's torture is undoubtedly cold and terrifying. In addition to that, it mirrored the gruesome way Mad King Aerys Targaryen dealt with the Starks in 'A Song of Ice and Fire', as per Buzzfeed.

The torture of Rickard and Brandon Stark

Fans of George R.R. Martin's book series are well aware of the crazy things the Mad King has done during his rule.

However, only a few were more horrifying than what he did to Ned Stark's father and brother. Aerys Targaryen had Rickard tied up and burned in front of Brandon who had a noose around his neck. Ultimately, Ned's brother strangled himself as he tried to reach a sword in front of him in an effort to save their father.

Mad Queen Cersei?

So does this mean that Cersei Lannister is well on her way of becoming the Mad Queen? Fans have theorized that her actions against Ellaria Sand have already confirmed that she has gone crazy. Some have pointed out that her use of wildfire to annihilate her enemies in the Sept of Baelor was only the beginning.

Unfortunately, the madness could also cause Jaime Lannister to take desperate measures. There are speculations that he might realize that his twin has gone crazy just like Aerys Targaryen. This could mean that Jaime will end up killing Cersei and become the Queenslayer.

"Game of Thrones" Season 7 returns on HBO on August 6.
