HBO hackers to release ‘Game of Thrones’ episode 4 spoilers
The “GOT” Season 7 is only available to viewers with HBO subscription. Its fans have been fervently waiting for updates about the upcoming episode. However, HBO and the film’s cast and crew have not disclosed any spoilers to allow their viewers to keep excited for the new episode.
All the confidentiality will soon be gone. A breached company has hacked HBO and has taken a significant amount of data. A report published in WCCF Tech revealed that HBO hackers even claimed to have obtained over 1.5 terabytes of data. This results in the compromise of proprietary information.
The hackers even sent emails revealing the greatest leak of cyber space.
In the email, they especially mentioned HBO and the “Game of Thrones.” With this, they have released upcoming episodes and at least one alleged script. More spoilers for the "Game of Thrones" episode 4 are expected to be published by the hackers.
They also assured that the reporters could download and spread the leaks. They added that the person who can spread it well would have the opportunity to have an exclusive interview with them.
HBO is now taking action
The Entertainment Weekly confirmed this hack. The site also revealed that hackers were also able to steal information of the upcoming episodes of Ballers and Room 104. These are all apparently released online.
HBO has confirmed that they have suffered from the massive cyber attack. HBO chief executive officer Richard Plepler has said that it is their top priority and responsibility to protect all the data they have.
With this, the recent incident is disruptive, unsettling and disturbing.
They are now investigating the incident and working with law enforcement cyber security firms to address the problem. “I can assure you that senior leadership and our extraordinary technology team, along with outside experts, are working round the clock to protect our collective interests, said” Plepler. It remains unknown what kind of hackers they are dealing with. However, their purpose is clear, and that is to make HBO fail.
