There have been a lot ofGame of Thrones theories and speculations circulating the internet throughout the years and one can well imagine Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) being the Night King. This theory has been one of the most hot-topics among fans after it surfaced on Reddit by user turmoil26. Season 7 finale apparently ended with a lot of cliffhangers and some fans hope that these will be answered comes the eighth and final season of HBO’s hit fantasy epic series. Recently, Bran’s actor appears to have ruled out the theory that his character is the King of the Dead although he doesn’t receive the scripts for Season 8 just yet.

Is Bran Stark the Night King?

Isaac Hempstead Wright, 18, recently sat down with Mashable and Vulture to discuss “Game of Thrones” and its infamous theories including the one that says his character Bran Stark is the Night King. He said that the theory is “far-fetched” although he said that he would have thought the same on the “Hold the door” theory about Hodor. Thus, it means that anything can happen in Season 8 especially that he hasn’t seen the scripts yet for the upcoming installment. This theory has already made fans buzzing.

“I dunno, there are so many theories in “Game of Thrones” and so many things that are gonna begin to tie up next season, I think it’ll be interesting to see,” he said.

When asked about the theory that Bran is associated or is the King of the Dead, Wright believes otherwise. “I think it’s less that they’re the same person and more that they’re two of the ancient beings of Westeros,” he explained to Vulture. His character, Bran Stark has been crippled since Ser Jamie Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) pushed him at the tower when he saw him having sex with his twin sister Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey).

The Army of the Dead

The White Walkers have been discussed in “Game of Thrones” several times although no one has ever seen them until the past few seasons. The army of the dead was originally created by the Children of the Forest but no one knows why their king badly wants to wipe out the mankind. Wright said that Bran and the Night King are two different characters with incredible powers although the latter is a monster who wants to create violence.

The 18-year-old actor himself said that he’s also hoping to find out more “cool stuff” about these characters comes Season 8.

What do you think about this “Game of Thrones” theory? Do the White Walkers have anything to do with the Starks?
