Fredrik Eklund and his husband Derek announced on Thursday's episode of "Million Dollar Listing New York" that they were going to be parents to twins. It had been a long journey for the couple, as Fredrik and Derek had tried on three separate occasions to have a baby. They were even pregnant with twins once before, but Fredrik had to make the devastating announcement to the public when they miscarried their babies.
However, it sounds like the fourth time is the charm for this couple as the due date is quickly approaching in regards to having their babies at home with them.
Of course, Fredrik is the father in one regard, as he has a stepson. "Million Dollar Listing New York," Eklund has revealed that Derek is indeed the biological father of a boy who lives in London, England. Fans got to meet this little boy on the show, and Fredrik explained that Derek had donated his semen to a lesbian couple who wanted to have a son. It is a boy who he sees rather often considering the distance, and Fredrik and Derek were excited to tell him that he was going to be a big brother.
Stepson excited about twins
According to a new Bravo report, Fredrik Eklund reveals that his stepson is very excited about becoming a big brother and he surely feels that Fredrik and Derek are excited about the upcoming babies as well.
One can imagine that the little boy feels the excitement from his father and his stepfather, as they are gearing up to become fathers to twins.
"We are preparing. We're getting really ready. It's really nice cause we're doing it together. We're laying up at night in bed; we're talking. I feel like were getting a lot closer, him and I too, because of it," Eklund has revealed to Bravo about the upcoming births.
The names have already been picked out
On "Million Dollar Listing New York," Derek and Fredrik revealed that they were having the girl named Milla, which is a name that Fredrik always wanted for his daughter. The couple is then naming the boy Freddy Jr. Eklund. He hadn't revealed whether this was something he wanted, but one can imagine that Derek wanted a child named after Fredrik because he was so excited about having children.
One can imagine that their nurseries are also close to being complete.
