Fredrik Eklund is one of the Real Estate Agents on "Million Dollar Listing New York" and he is often talking about how he's one of the most successful real estate agents on the entire island of Manhattan. However, his success doesn't come without some troubles. While Fredrik has been open about his personal life while filming the show, it sounds like he has to go through quite the drama with his clients to make sure they get what they want.
While filming "Million Dollar Listing New York," Eklund has revealed some troubling relationships with clients.
He has often been yelled at even though he's just trying to do his job.
On Thursday's episode of "Million Dollar Listing New York," it sounds like one of his clients was not respecting him at all. As Eklund was trying to explain his professional point of view, the client essentially spoke down to him and treated him with disrespect. This was something that his fans took offense to and many people reached out to him on social media, explaining that they would never accept for the kind of treatment that he received.
But Fredrik Eklund understands that this is just a part of the industry. On his personal Instagram account, Fredrik posted that they had closed over $65 million in deals that week alone, which may be worth the bullying for some people.
Bullying is not an option for fans
Some people may not be able to go through the bullying that Fredrik has to deal with "Million Dollar Listing New York," even if they are paid millions of dollars per year. Some people actually too sensitive and wouldn’t be able to be in the industry. The real estate market can be a tough one to be in.
As fans have seen on the show, Fredrik Eklund often has to please clients that have unrealistic expectations in terms of price and the market. Simply because Fredrik has set a record before doesn't mean he can do it every time with every single sale. Sadly, these are the expectations of his clients.
Luckily for Fredrik, he has thick skin so he has no problem standing up to people who may be trying to take advantage of him.
He's a smart agent and he hasn't made millions of dollars because people are taking advantage of him. He is a smart businessman and can, therefore, pocket millions of dollars in deals because of his quick wit and his fun-loving personality.
What about his baby plans?
On this season of “Million Dollar Listing New York,” Fredrik has revealed that he is keeping his baby plans private for now. It sounds like his clients won't play a role when he finally gets the baby he's always wanted. He has promised his husband to slow down once the baby arrives, so it sounds like his clients will become his second priority over his family.
What do you think of the way Fredrik Eklund’s clients treat him sometimes? Would you take that kind of treatment if you were working to sell expensive properties on their behalf?
