As Chloe Lukasiak returns in “Dance Moms” Season 8 with her mother Christi Lukasiak, it looks like they have something to say about its new host, Cheryl Burke. The “Dancing with the Stars” alum has replaced Abby Lee Miller in the television show after the latter resigned last March. In an interview with People, the mother-and-daughter tandem revealed that the 33-year-old dancer is the perfect fit for the series.

Chloe’s take on Cheryl

Chloe Lukasiak and Christi Lukasiak told People that Cheryl Burke’s coming in “Dance Moms” Season 8 is “such a nice change.”

They, too, believed that she is the perfect host the reality dance series must have as she also has a “crazy dance mom” just like others.

With that, the 16-year-old television personality said that her inclusion in the series is really “encouraging” as she has been in the “exact position” just like the aspiring dancers. Thus, the young Lukasiak believed that she understands them more than Abby Lee Miller.

As this serves as Chloe’s official return after the spat she had with Miller in the fourth season, she noticed that things now have changed in the show. She then recalled the time when she said that the contenders shouldn’t be yelled at for their differences just like what the original host did in the first season.

A Cowgirl’s Story” star even remembered when she was being compared to Maddie Ziegler, in which she explained that they shouldn’t be matched up as they have “different strengths and weaknesses.” She has observed that these are the things that Cheryl didn't do and more focusing on bringing out the best in every girl.

Cheryl’s different coaching approach

On the other hand, Chloe Lukasiak’s mother, Christi Lukasiak, described Cheryl Burke as someone who “has it mastered.”

Cheryl is no doormat,” she told People. She proudly depicted her as someone who is not taking “any garbage” from any of the mothers in the show and she is putting them in their right place.

“I respect her very much, so she shuts us up a lot,” she disclosed.

As per the “Dancing with the Stars” alum, she told Steve Harvey before that she wanted to take a different approach when it comes to teaching the girls in “Dance Moms” Season 8. However, she firmly cleared that she is still a strict coach, stern, and still expecting a lot from her students.

Compared to Abby Lee Miller's coaching, she explained that she is trying to bring out the best from the girls in a loving and caring way. She, too, promised that she will never intimidate the young aspirants or even traumatize them.

“Dance Moms” Season 8 can be seen on Lifetime every Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET.
