Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt might be reconciling as multiple reports have surfaced claiming that their Divorce proceedings have been postponed. A source also claimed that the two are taking a break so the divorce is not moving forward as of the moment.

According to E! News, the former couple, who announced they were separating in September 2016, is “taking a breather” regarding their divorce proceedings and see what will happen next. Accordingly, Pitt’s sobriety has played a big part in halting the divorce. The actor has also been working on his self-improvement and a lot has changed, not only for Pitt but also for Jolie and the whole family, since the actress filed for divorce.

Jolie and Pitt’s split rumored to be because of his drinking

Reports said in the past that the reason behind Jolie and Pitt’s split had something to do with the latter’s drinking and how he treats their children whenever alcohol is in his system. Weeks after Pitt and Jolie announced their separation, the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) launched an investigation regarding child abuse claims. Accordingly, the breaking point for Jolie was when Pitt became physically and verbally abusive towards their son Maddox when they were on board a flight from France back to their home in the United States. During that time, Pitt was reportedly drunk.

Jolie tried to get sole custody over their six children and Pitt was only given a few hours to visit the kids with the presence of a therapist.

The investigation of DCFS ended sometime in November and Pitt was given more time with his kids without a therapist.

Pitt and Jolie had been married for two years when they separated but have been a couple for 12 years. She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce filing.

Jolie spoke about life after the divorce

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Jolie opened up for the first time about the split from Pitt. She called the past year the hardest time for her and the kids and that their marital problems started when they filmed her new movie “First They Killed My Father” in Cambodia last year.

She also dispelled rumors about Pitt getting tired of their lifestyle, which required the kids to travel too frequent, New York Daily News shared.

Many reportedly believe that the two will reconcile and get back together. However, they have not released any official statement yet regarding the possibility.
