A reconciliation between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt is still possible, according to a Hollywood Life source.
Just a few days ago, the "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" pair were rumored to have called off their divorce a year after they announced they were separating. An insider claimed that the two "haven’t done anything to move it forward for several months," which has caused the people around them to think that the celebrity couple have no plans of making progress with the split.
Are Brad and Angelina getting back together?
The rumor has also given a glimmer of hope to Brangelina fans who, until now, are still hoping that the actors will change their minds and give their marriage another chance.
Brad Pitt, however, reportedly thought that there was no chance for him to get back together with Angelina Jolie after all that has happened since the separation was announced last year.
He felt like "there's no going back now" that they have been leading their separate lives. Despite the unfortunate turnabout in their marriage, the estranged couple could only promise to maintain a friendly relationship in order to co-parent their children.
Unlike Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie is reportedly not ruling out the possibility of reconciling with her estranged husband. A source claimed that the "Changeling" actress would be willing to call the divorce off if the "Fight Club" alum would beg to have her back.
"Angelina misses Brad a lot more than she ever thought she would. She feels really lonely without him," the insider said. "Brad was Angelina’s best friend, as well as her husband. They talked about everything and totally had each other’s back."
The source, however, added that the actress would never admit that she made mistakes during their marriage no matter how much she misses her estranged husband.
"Angelina definitely has regrets about splitting from Brad and about the end of their marriage," it continued.
Inside Brad and Angelina's relationship
On August 23, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were supposed to celebrate their third wedding anniversary had they not separated in 2016. The former couple said their vows in the French hamlet of Corenns nine years after they first met on the "Mr.
& Mrs. Smith" set.
The "Moneyball" actor was then married with Jennifer Aniston, while the "Salt" alum just got out of her marriage with Bob Thornton. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt seemingly confirmed their relationship a month after the latter separated from his wife.
The celebrity couple were blessed with their first biological child, Shiloh, in 2006 before they welcomed the twins, Knox and Vivienne, two years later.
