A few days ago, Brangelina shippers saw a glimmer of hope when several news outlets claimed that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are putting their divorce on hold. Multiple sources have told US Weekly that the two have allegedly called off their separation in hopes to give their marriage another shot.

"The divorce is off," an affiliate told the publication. “They haven’t done anything to move it forward for several months and no one thinks they are ever going to."

Inside Angie and Brad's relationship

These reports came almost a year after Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt in September 2016.

The actress cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the separation and sought physical custody of their six children. According to E! News, the "Maleficent" star did not request for spousal support and suggested that her estranged husband is given visitation rights.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie became an item after they starred in "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" in 2004. Ten years later, the celebrity couple tied the knot in a private wedding ceremony held in France. In an interview with the New York Times, the actress said they became officially husband and wife in "the most unceremonial way possible."

In 2015, the then-couple graced the red carpet premiere of "By the Sea" wherein they gushed about how they love each other and their family.

"I trust her with my life," Brad Pitt said of Angelina Jolie.

The celebrity couple was last spotted together with their son, Shiloh, in July 2016. According to Angelina Jolie's attorney, the decision to divorce was made for the sake of their family. Both parties also asked the public to respect their privacy as they move forward with the separation.

Angie and Brad will move forward with divorce

While the divorce of the "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" duo is still in process, fans are still hoping that the two actors will give their marriage another chance. Brad Pitt, however, felt like there is no chance for them to get back together after all that has been said and done after the separation announcement.

A source told Hollywood Life that Brad Pitt specifically felt like "there's no going back now" after they have decided to end their decade-long relationship several months ago. Although the actor has nothing but love for his children, he and Angelina Jolie could only try to maintain an amicable relationship for the sake of their children.

The insider, however, suggested that the former celebrity couple is still struggling to stay civil around each other up until now.
