The trailer for the fourth season of the series was released at the San Diego Comic Con. The trailer teases what is to come next for superhero Barry Allen including the introduction of a brand new enemy. Casting includes such actors as Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker and Tom Cavanagh.

The team to face new super villain

"The Flash" has seen some super villains on the series over the past few years.The trailer for the fourth season reveals that the team surrounding Barry Allen will be facing another enemy which is to be their toughest opponent yet. According to Variety, this series will focus on the fastest man alive versus the fastest mind alive. Neil Sandilands is to join the cast of "The Flash" a series next super villain. Sandilands character is called "The Thinker" and is on a mission to fix everything that is wrong with humanity.

As well as "The Thinker" it was confirmed at the San Diego Comic Con that there will also be a new female villain in the series. Kim Engelbrecht will be joining the cast as a cohort of "The Thinker." Her character will be called "The Mechanic" and her role is to make devices for "The Thinker." The pair is to be the toughest super villains that the gang has faced in all of their efforts as of yet.

As Barry Allen was seen disappearing into the speed force in the finale of last seasons "The Flash" fans are left wondering what havoc these new enemies will rain before Barry's return. Fans of the series are incredibly excited by the prospect of this new villainous team especially as these villains fight with the power of their minds.

The cast talk about the changes their characters will face

One of the biggest changes that the fourth season of "The Flash" will see is the change in direction for character Iris West. Iris is played by actress Candice Patton. At one of the panels during the San Diego Comic Con, Patton has confirmed that Irish will be taking more of a leadership role in the series.

With Barry gone the team needs a new leader to bring them together, and Iris steps up to the late.

According to Variety, Joe West and Cecelia's romantic relationship will be explored in more depth in the series. Martin teased that fans would have to wait and see what would happen between the pair but has confirmed that sparks are flying.

"The Flash" returns for its fourth season premiering on October 10. Fans of the show will not have to wait too long to find out what happens next for their favorite characters.
