The defenders first clip has been released

The first short teaser clip of the series "The Defenders" has been released online through social media. The superhero Daredevil is the center focus of the scene. His character has a strong connection to religion and is seen in a confessional talking to a priest. Daredevil, otherwise known as Matt Murdock, is seen admitting that he misses Elektra as the priest prompts his reasoning behind the visit.

The priest and Matt Murdock are seen discussing the impact that Elektra had on Matt's life. They discuss the consequences of Matt's actions and it is clear that the Daredevil is filled with guilt. The priest blatantly advises the superhero to stop torturing himself for events in the past.

However, as fans of the Marvel series know, there is no doubt that the demons from Matt Murdock's past will find a way to reach him, even from beyond the grave.

The cast talked about the upcoming series at San Diego Comic Con

Like many actors, the cast and creators of "The Defenders" sat down at the San Diego Comic Con to answer fans questions about the new series.

According to io9, the first episode of "The Defenders" will not see the superhero team come together. Instead, it will focus on all four of the heroes and deal with where they are in their lives right now. Daredevil will be the main character of focus in the first episode as he struggles with his dual identities of Matt Murdock and Daredevil.

It has been confirmed that the members of the superhero team will become important supports for each other in dealing with their personal lives. The team will create strong relationships with one another. For many of them they have found other individuals who share their goals and ambitions and this will create strong bonds.

"The Defenders" is due to air next month. Netflix will release the series on August the 18th.
