Despite the secrecy surrounding the production of “Star Wars: The Last Jedi”, a few spoilers managed to leak online. Below are just some of the details we know about the eighth film of the “Star Wars” saga.

Anakin Skywalker appearance

Speculations point to Anakin Skywalker’s return as a Force Ghost in the film. Of course, Lucasfilm has remained tight lip about this possibility.

However, the presence of Hayden Christensen at last month’s Star Wars Celebration suggests so. The actor may have said some cryptic words that hinted to his character’s appearance in Episode 8. He said that his relationship with the films is still very much present. Fans may remember that Anakin, who turned to the Dark Side and became Darth Vader, has not been part of the films since his death in Episode 6 “Return of the Jedi.”

Moreover, according to the Express, a source who formerly worked on the production of “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” confirmed the appearance of Force Ghosts in the film. The ex-employee confirmed the Anakin and Yoda’s presence as Force Ghost.

Rumors point to Anakin appearing to Rey (Daisy Ridley) during her Jedi training with Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill). This makes Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) frustrated since he is hoping to see the Force Ghost of Darth Vader, whom he idolizes.

Kylo, Luke and Rey battle

A battle happens between Luke, Rey, Kylo and his Knights of Ren. This fight supposedly happens on the coast of Ach-To, while Rey is training. During the fight, Luke instructs Rey to kill Kylo. However, their fight ends with Rey missing as they battle on a cliff. Luke, after defeating the Knights of Ren, nearly kills Kylo, who retreated after he sees that the Jedi Master has taken out all his knights. The trailer for “The Last Jedi” seems to confirm this fight happens, with the scene that shows Rey in Ach-To running and then lighting her lightsaber (1:26 mark).

Supreme Leader Snoke’s plans in “Star Wars: The Last Jedi”

Snoke becomes a very powerful enemy for the Republic, so much so, that General Leia (Carrie Fisher) considers him a great threat to the peace of the galaxy. In “The Last Jedi” the Supreme Leader instigates a war following the destruction of the Star Killer base in “Force Awakens.” Snoke supposedly plans to conquer and rule the galaxy and doing so means revealing his identity to the public. It is believed that among the members of the Republic, only General Leia and Luke Skywalker know that he exists. This would coincide with why he is named Snoke, which supposedly stands for “A Sith No One Knew Existed.“
