The month of June is about to end, so fans are now expecting a new trailer for “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.” As Disney is about to reveal its new Marvel film, “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” and upcoming events in July, movie aficionados believe a new teaser will be shown.
If there will be a new trailer, fans are expecting to see more of the mysterious Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis). Although the film’s director Rian Johnson revealed that the antagonist won’t be seen much in “Episode 8,” viewers are still waiting for his back story to know his real origin.
Another theory about Snoke’s origin
The theories about Supreme Leader Snoke’s real identity are swirling nonstop since he has been introduced in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
Now, a Reddit user named Joshikins29 revealed his assumption about the sequel trilogy’s antagonist. As Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) is believed to be The Last Jedi, then the Force-sensitive humanoid alien might be the first Jedi who turned to the Dark Side.
He explained that to give balance to the eighth movie’s story, there should be the first and the last Jedi. He also shared on Reddit (via Daily Express) that he strongly believed that the villain is the "ancient rogue Jedi" that started the Sith Order. He even supported his claim by enlisting some evidence.
Supreme Leader Snoke is an old character that has a connection to the Force's origin. In fact, in the book “Aftermath: Empire’s End” written by Chuck Wending, Palpatine said that he sensed the Force's origin and dark presence nestling in the Unknown Regions. This was where the Supreme Leader of the First Order was hiding.
Hence, if the master of Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) was the first living creature that held and used the dark side of the force with his power, then the Bogan’s origin can be traced to him.
Also, he can appreciate the both Dark and Light Sides of the Force. To recall, in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” he explained to Kylo Ren that he is strong because of that aspect where he also comes from.
Joshikins29 elaborated that only a former Jedi that turned to the Dark Side can understand the advantages of being on the both sides.
Lastly, Supreme Leader Snoke looks is severely damaged. If he is indeed the founder of the Sith, then there is a big possibility that he plummets from power because of a betrayal by some members of the Sith Order.
