It's been years since Robert Pattinson showed up all sparkly and fresh-faced as the brooding and mysterious vampire, Edward Cullen, in the "Twilight" movies. After being in a highly-sensationalized relationship with fellow "Twilight" star, Kristen Stewart, it's pretty much safe to say that the 31-year old actor has come a long way. Currently, he is considered as one of the A-listers in Hollywood but unfortunately, he is considered to be technically off the market because he was already engaged to FKA Twigs two year ago. The said engagement seems to be dragging on quite a bit, prompting the fans to wonder and speculate about the reasons for the delay in getting married.

As expected, breakup rumors have been circulating here and there and although Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs are considered to be a very low key couple, the uncertainty of their engagement and relationship as a whole has been keeping the fans on a loop. Fortunately, Pattinson has recently addressed the rumors and gave a much-needed update on his relationship with FKA Twigs.

Still 'kind of' engaged

According to Mail Online, Robert Pattinson talked about his current relationship status with FKA twigs on "The Howard Stern Show" this week. It can be remembered that news broke about their engagement in 2015, just months after they were photographed together as a couple.

During the interview, the "Remember Me" actor played it coy by saying that he and FKA Twigs are still "kind of " engaged.

Pattinson's choice of words might lead to more confusion than clarification about his relationship with his fiance, but he clarified that as much as possible, he prefers to keep their relationship away from the limelight. That said, being "kind of" engaged can be considered as an acceptable relationship status update, right?

Protecting FKA Twigs

Given the fact that Pattinson and FKA Twigs are both public personalities, keeping a relationship private and low key can be pretty challenging. However, it seems that Pattinson is the one who decided to ensure the privacy of their relationship because he wanted to protect his fiance from the diehard "Twilight" fans, also known as the "Twi-hards."

According to Mail Online, Pattinson has observed that there seemed to be a cracked group of crazies who think that every single decision that he was making, whether in his personal or public life, was just something behind a conspiracy. He reportedly wanted to create a gap between his public and personal life to protect the harmony of his relationship with FKA Twigs.
