One of the main focuses in “Supergirl” season 3 is the fate of Mon-El after his pod got knocked off course into a vortex. It can be recalled that he left the Earth due to an inevitable lead poisoning while war is happening in National City between Daxamites and Supergirl.

There was little chance that he (Chris Wood) will be around in Season 3 until he joined the panel during San Diego Comic-con International. This, of course, has once again hyped the fans.

Where is Chris Wood’s Mon-El heading?

As suggested earlier, it is pretty much clear he Mon-El will be returning somewhere in “Supergirl” Season 3.

However, just like Danielle Panabaker who cannot say much about Killerfrost, and “Arrow” cast carefully articulating every word to avoid spoiling the deaths in Lian Yu, Wood is a bit reserved as well during the interview.

According to Den of Geek, the 29-year-old actor revealed that so far, only scripts for the first two episodes of Season 3 were read by the cast. During SDCC, he also answered few comments toward the criticisms in his role and shared where Mon-El might be headed next.

"I felt very lucky and very happy with the arc that I had in that some of the criticisms early on about the closed-mindedness of Mon-El and where he came from on Daxam,” says Wood. Even as he previously reads the scripts, he can immediately grasp how awful the character will be.

On a brighter note, Wood still expressed his gratitude towards his role. From being a selfish Daxamite, he became the sacrificing one to save the people he loves. Mon-El’s transformation was something that is beyond anyone can imagine. Wood believes that it is the best part of playing the role.

Moreover, Wood hinted the character he played will always be a hero.

After all, that is what he is set to become in the comics. Speculations suggest he will return as the next hero in National City.

‘Supergirl’ features Mon-El’s evolution

While Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist) is getting ready to give up her Kara Danvers persona, Mon-El will experience things from where he has been, which can probably develop more of his abilities.

Wood reveals that his return will certainly excite the fans.

Furthermore, the earlier outlet also reported the possible involvement of Legion of Superheroes. In the comics, they were the ones to free the prince of Daxam, 1000 years in the future. At the end of the day, no one can ignore the Legion flight ring that has been in place at Superman’s Fortress of Solitude. More updates will be revealed when “Supergirl” Season 3 returns in October.
