In a surprise move, the opening episode of the highly awaited “Rick and Morty” Season 3 got aired on April Fools’ Day. The first episode of the new series titled “The Rickshank Redemption” saw the Smith family returning to Earth after they escaped from the alien government.
What to expect from upcoming episodes
The episode 2 of the popular animated series “Rick and Morty” titled "Rickmancing The Stone" is expected to be based on 1984 classic "Romancing the Stone." The film’s story revolved around a novelist and a mercenary who pave their way to a remote jungle to save the former’s, sister.
Considering the rumors of the connection between the film and the upcoming episode, it might be possible that fans will get to see Rick and Morty going on a quest to rescue Summer from some crisis.
Adult Swim has reportedly rolled out a new promotional clip for “Rick and Morty” Season 3. The promo in question shows Rick (Justin Roiland) asking his grandson Morty (Roiland) to place the acid he has made on the shelf carefully. The grandfather reminds his grandson not to drop the acid. But the flask containing the acid slips from Morty’s hands and shatters into pieces. This is the time when the little one starts experiencing hallucinations and weird drug-induced visions.
Morty imagines himself getting sacrificed by his entire family in a Mayan temple, Rick pulling him from a man’s butt and also Rick eating him whole.

Names of celebrities who will star in the upcoming episodes
During a recent interview with Indiewire, the series creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland gave information about the celebrities and guests who will be making an appearance in the upcoming “Rick and Morty” episodes.
Some of the names include Danny Trejo, Thomas Middleditch, Christian Slater, Susan Sarandon, Peter Serafinowicz, Gillian Jacobs and Joel McHale. Also, Keith David will be back in his role of Mr. President.
The creators also stated that they are open to crossover episodes. There will a special "Rick and Morty" screening on Saturday, July 22 at Petco Park and the San Diego Comic Con panel.
It is to be noted that the “Rick and Morty” Season 3 was originally planned to have 14 episodes in total. But Harmon has confirmed that there will be fewer episodes than scheduled in the upcoming season. The episode 2 which is titled "Rickmancing the Stone" will get aired on July 30 at 11:30 p.m. on Adult Swim.
