It looks like Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) has a new love interest in the coming “Jessica Jones” Season 2. In the newly revealed set photos of the show’s second season, the favorite private investigator is seen kissing somebody else, who is not Luke Cage (Mike Colter).

The identity of the mystery guy is not yet revealed. In the first three photos, they are seen locking lips while in the fourth snap, they pulled away from each other and happily smiling.

Jessica’s new look

In the new photos of “Jessica Jones” Season 2, the main character has ditched her iconic leather jacket.

In fact, she is donning a casual look, which is quite different to her usual bad ass attire.

Her hair is noticeably shorter this time compared to her long mane in the previous season of the web television series. However, it is not yet revealed why she is now sporting a new look. But, some predict that the show’s second chapter might be featuring her backstory, before she got manipulated by Kilgrave (David Tennant).

The flashback

Moreover, the mystery guy might be from Jessica Jone’s past, thus the kissing scene might be a flashback.

“Jessica Jones” Season 2 may be focusing on how the character of Krysten Ritter obtained her powers.

Just like in the previous season, she is still far from being okay as she will still hear the voice of Kilgrave in her mind. aAthough he is already dead, she will still feel the effects of the antagonist’s mind control.

In fact, in an interview with Deadline, the show’s executive producer Melissa Rosenberg revealed that she will stay as the “flawed heroine.” "She ends in a very different place than she started off,” she said.

However, she will still be the Jessica Jones everybody loved and nothing could ever change that.

She will still be having drinking problems, commit more mistakes, and unintentionally hurt people and feel sorry about it. However, something has made her changed at the end of the show’s previous season. Is it the death of Kilgrave?

“I'd just love to explore that in the second season," she teased.

The web series’ return

Meanwhile, “Jessica Jones” Season 2 is based on the Marvel Comics character by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos.

Of course, fans will still see Kryten Ritter as the troubled superpower private investigator titular character. Also, Rachel Taylor will still be seen in the second chapter reprising her role as Patricia “Trish” Walker. The “Matrix” star Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth will still be in the show along with Janet McTeer in an unrevealed role yet.

The show’s second season still has 13 episodes and expected to be all dropped on Netflix in 2018.
