The first few photos from the second season of “Jessica Jones” have arrived online.

Rachael Taylor and Krysten Ritter can be seen in the set photos. Marvel and Netflix completed production a few weeks ago, and the marketing has begun. Gradually, several new teaser trailers and stills will be released to create excitement among fans.

A Tumblr account named MCU Filming has shared several looks at the season 2 set. Though the images do not provide sufficient information about the plot of the series, it is evident that Rachael Taylor plays the leading character.

It has been reported that a new cast member, Jane McTeer, will play the villain, but that’s just speculation as the studio has refused to comment anything.

The second season of “Jessica Jones” will premiere on August 18, 2017, alongside “The Defenders,” “Daredevil,” “Luke Cage,” and “Iron Fist.” All of these projects will be available on Netflix in the third or fourth week of August.

‘Jessica Jones’ – the television series

Marvel's famous series, “Jessica Jones,” is developed by Melissa Rosenberg, based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. It is a joint project of ABC Studios, Marvel Television, and Tall Girls Productions. Rosenberg is serving as showrunner. The cast includes Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, Wil Travel, Rachael Taylor, Eka Darville, David Tennant, and Carrie-Anne Moss.

The show was originally aired in April 2010, on ABC, and renewed for another season by Netflix.

All episodes of the first season received positive comments from television critics and audiences, with some of them admiring Tennant’s performance while the others praised the subject.

The story revolves around a young lady, Jessica Jones, who recovers from a serious disorder and tries to rebuild her life as an investigator.

Critical response

Stephanie Maslansky will design the costume for the new season of “Jessica Jones.” Previously, she designed the jackets, faded jeans, and boots for the leading characters of the original show.

Filming took place in New York City and Los Angeles. Visual effects are completed by Shade VFX, who also served as visual effects supervisor on “Daredevil.”

The review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes has given “Jessica Jones” a 92% approval rating based on 58 critics. On Metacritic, its average score is 82 out of 100 based on 34 reviews.
