"General Hospital" spoilers reveal that characters are dropping left and right. As reported by Soap News Daily, actress Rebecca Budig, who plays Hayden Barnes on the soap, and Kathleen Gai, who plays Dr. Liesl Obrecht, are both reportedly leaving the show in the very near future, and "GH" fans have already last Jane Elliot as Tracy. Now, it seems that another major character could be on the way out.
Is Julian Jermone leaving Port Charles?
According to Soap Opera Spy, actor William deVry, who plays the character of Julian Jerome may have already filmed his last scenes.
William has been in contract negations with ABC, but things have reportedly reached a dead end. While things could change quickly, anything is possible, and at this point is seems that there is a good possibility that DeVry could be on his way out as Julian.
William deVry reportedly filmed some scenes for "General Hospital" before going on hiatus at the end of June. Sadly, those scenes could be his last. A source revealed that nobody knew it could possibly be the actor's last day on the soap opera and that everyone "assumed" there were "lots of stories planned" for Julian and Alexis. Now, "Julexis" fans are worried that the fan favorite "GH" couple may be over for good, barring a possible recast of William's character if he doesn't negotiate his contract with ABC soon.
William deVry has been playing Julian on "General Hospital" since July of 2013, but he has quickly become a favorite among fans in the four short years he has been on the show, and fans love all of the "Julexis" scenes. Sadly, things are up in the air right now for deVry, and fans are on the edge of their seats waiting to hear any confirmation about whether he's staying or exiting the soap.
Steve Burton returns to 'GH'
Meanwhile, one "General Hospital" fan favorite is on the way back. Steve Burton will be returning Port Charles very soon, but it is still unclear about what role he will be playing. Previously, Burton portrayed the beloved character of Jason Morgan, but since his departure, actor Billy Miller has taken over the role.
Does Steve's return mean bad news for Billy? Some fans believe that Burton will return as the real Jason Morgan, while Miller's character will be revealed as an impostor of some sort. "Days of our Lives" had famously done a similar storyline decades ago when they revealed that Drake Hogestyn's character wasn't the real Roman Brady. Drake stuck around as the character of John Black, which is what "GH" may be doing with Billy Miller's character.
