With Jon Snow's return, the race for power has just gotten fiercer and wilder. As per Rolling Stone, the end game is near for the main heroes of HBO's epic series, the "Game of Thrones." The report also mentioned that Jon Snow would take his place as king in the North while Cersei Lannister remains as Queen of the Seven Kingdoms.
As for Daenerys Targaryen, her title as the Mother of Dragons remain undisputed. With each realm under the watchful eye of their respective lords, their people would think that the worst is finally over. However, just north of the Wall, the White Walkers and their eternal winter pose a threat not only to Snow but to the rest of the kingdoms as well.
"Game of Thrones" and the Northern Realm
Looking back on the last season of "Game of Thrones," Jon Snow was already proclaimed dead. However, with the red priestess' help named Melisandre, resurrected. As life returned to Snow, he immediately killed the mutineers of the Night's Watch. After the killing, Snow gave the power and control to his buddy, "Dolorous" Edd Tollett.
With Snow back on track, he prepares to muster the army and free Winterfell from the clutches of Ramsay Bolton. Winterfell is Snow's ancestral home and this is the very same place where the "Battle of the Bastards" occurred. It led to many casualties and among those that perished is Snow's younger brother Rickon. Wun-Wun, known as the last surviving giant was also one of the fallen from that battle.
Wildcard revealed for "Game of Thrones"
Everything remains uncertain for the upcoming episodes of "Game of Thrones," but it is expected that the riverlands and the central region would render forth bloodshed and vengeance. This is where Arya would reveal herself after surviving the challenges and learning the secret of the magical assassins called as Faceless Men.
The assassins that reside in the watery city of Braavos were rejected by Arya after mastering their craft. She then proceeded by killing Waif, her main opponent and secretly returned to the Seven Kingdoms. With the power to disguise herself, she infiltrated the fort of Walder Frey and killed his child for revenge.
