Fox has confirmed that the "High School Musical" actress, Vanessa Hudgens, is set as the newest judge on "So You Think You Can Dance" which will premiere on June 12. She will make her debut in Part 1 of Los Angeles Auditions. The 28-year old actress will join other judges like Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy for the shows 14th installment.
Hudgens is known for her work in musical theater at her young age. She first starred in "The Wizard of Oz" and "Cinderella," and perhaps, she became more famous with Disney's "High School Musical" series. Meanwhile, in one of her interviews, Lythgoe, who is also an executive producer of the series, revealed that she is very excited to join Mary and Vanessa on the judging panel.
Newest celebrity guest judge
Hudgens being an accomplished artist and someone who has her brand of talent will bring energy to the judging panels of "So You Think You Can Dance." Over the years, she has shown her dancing skills in her "High School Musical" journey. This time, it is time for her to critic other people's dancing skills.
The "Powerless" alum has already appeared to the different promo of the show. Hence, most of her fans are already excited for her debut as the show premieres this June. One of the judging panels revealed that she would be loved by the "SYTYCD" fans. Without a doubt, Hudgens can fill up an instant chemistry in the audition rounds.
Season 14 opens national auditions
"So You Think You Can Dance" is a TV series which allows everyone to showcase their dancing talents. Before summer is over, its fourteenth installment will open national auditions for aspiring contestants. The show will premiere the first part of the audition which is set to happen in Los Angeles.
This year, as the show returns for another season, the judging panels will focus on the age brackets of 18-30. Three huge names in the judging panel, including Hudgens, will critic the aspiring competitors. One of its latest promos just aired on May 14 which featured the "High School Musical" actress.
"So You Think You Can Dance" is a show from 19 Entertainment and Dick Productions.
The show is executive-produced by one of the judges and co-creator Lythgoe together with Allen Shapiro, Barry Adelman, Mike Yurchuk, Peter Hurwitz, and Jeff Thacker.
