A "Vanderpump Rules" Cast Member was taken to the Emergency Room over the weekend. Amid filming on the upcoming sixth season of the popular Bravo reality show, Jeremy Madix, the brother of full-time cast member Ariana Madix, suffered an asthma attack that left him hospitalized.
On Instagram on June 4, Madix opened up about the scary incident and confirmed to his fans and followers that he was doing okay after his visit to the ER. In his post, Madix said he was admitted to the emergency room on Saturday night after suffering from the "most severe asthma attack of my life." As he explained, he had run out of his asthma medication and waited to refill his prescription.
With his post, Madix included a photo of himself lying in a hospital bed without his shirt.
Jeremy Madix was nearly put on life support
While Jeremy Madix is doing okay now, his asthma attack was quite severe and almost resulted in the reality star being placed on life support and taken to the Intensive Care Unit. Needless to say, the incident served as an intense reminder for Madix to take better care of himself.
"It's easy to procrastinate when you're working hard to achieve your goals in life, taking care of other people, or simply pushing things back," Madix wrote in the caption of his emergency room selfie. Madix also encouraged his followers to be aware that life can be delicate and said they should "take care of [their] health first."
Jeremy Madix joined 'Vanderpump Rules' last year
After relocating from Florida to Los Angeles, where his sister resides with boyfriend Tom Sandoval, Madix got a job at SUR Restaurant and began appearing as a guest star on "Vanderpump Rules" season five.
While Madix is only starring on the show in a part-time role, he is quite close to the majority of the cast, and earlier this year, Sandoval shared a kind message to him on his Instagram page in which he labeled Madix as his "brother."
Although the upcoming cast of season six has not yet been confirmed, Madix is expected to continue on with his role on the show alongside his sister and their other co-stars, including Jax Taylor, Scheana Marie, Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Lisa Vanderpump, and Katie Maloney.
Also expected to appear on season six are Lala Kent and James Kennedy.
