With the scandal involving Russia and the White House heating up, Donald Trump is reportedly not dealing with the pressure as well as people in the administration would hope. After reports circulated that the president is gaining weight due to the stress, the ladies of "The View" decided to offer their thoughts.
"The View" on Trump
Over the last two years, Donald Trump has changed the direction of American politics. Since the start of his campaign back in June 2015, Trump transformed politics into a spectator sport that increased the participation of the American people.
Whether people opposed or supported him, Trump elevated headline news into a must-watch nightly event where everyone seemed to have an opinion on the former host of "The Apprentice," his rhetoric, and policy proposals. Cable news, comedy shows, social media feeds, and nearly any and everyone else seemed to highlight Trump, including on "The View" where the president routinely found his way into the hot topic segment. In the months since his inauguration, Trump has been backed into a corner as the Russian scandal continues to grow. Last week, CNN's Gloria Borger reported that Trump has gaining weight and is binge eating due to the increased stress. This issue was highlighted during the May 2 segment on "The View."
During Friday's episode of "The View" on ABC, several of the co-hosts had a little fun mocking and trolling Donald Trump over the reports that he had gained weight over the Russian scandal.
"It turns out I'm not the only one losing sleep and binge eating over Trump's presidency," co-host joy behar said, before adding, "Guess who else is binge eating? Trump himself is."

"Forget about Mexico," Joy Behar continued, while adding, "he needs to build a wall between him and those ring a ding dings!" Fellow "The View" co-host Sunny Hostin noted that Donald Trump does play a lot of golf, but joked that he's "probably in a cart." The group didn't stop there, wondering if his reported overeating and minimal sleep is causing his recent blunders, including the now infamous "covfefe" tweet.
Moving forward
While Donald Trump continues to be the butt of a joke for many comedians, including some on "The View," the president is also dealing with more serious issues. In addition to the aforementioned Russian scandal, the billionaire real estate mogul pulled the United States out of the Paris climate accord on Thursday, while also pushing to repeal Obamacare and make a move on other important issues pertaining to the majority of the American people.
